Urad dal Laddu


My mom used to make variety of Laddoos. she used to prepare Laddu using different lentils and my kid loves it lot.  An easy and quick sweet which can be served as a dessert. An healthy recipe for kids. Please check below for detailed step-wise instructions for Urad Dal Laddu or Ulunthu paruppu Laddu or sunnundalu.

Ready in :                   15 mins
Yields :                         10 Laddu 


Ingredients:
Urad Dal                             
1 Cup
Sugar
1 Cup
Ghee


Instructions:
  • Dry roast urad dal to golden brown. Allow it to cool and grind it to a coarse paste in a blender.

  • Powder sugar and mix urad dal powder to it..


  •  Add ghee little by little and make small balls.

Tips:
I used split urad dal, as my blender won't grind whole urad dal properly. So use whole urad dal.
My laddu consumed ghee melted from 4 tbsp butter.
